Photo Album of our Tour to the Holyland
January 4-14, 1999
Photo 69

This is an alternative site known as the Garden Tomb which may be the site of Jesus' crucifixion and burial. There is a cliff called Gordon's Calvary that resembles a skull's face which is thought to be the "Golgotha"  or place of the skull where Jesus' crucifixion took place. This site was discovered only recently by British General Gordon. This is the site where our group had a communion before boarding on a Tower Airlines jet back to JFK and the US that evening. I composed a piece called,
"The Tomb" to commemerate the day when Mary found the open Tomb and Jesus spoke to her. If you would like to hear this, click HERE.
