This is the first view our group had of Jerusalem when we drove
up from Jerico. As you can see, a storm was brewing over Jerusalem, and
it was cold and windy. That night it rained, but the remainder of the trip
was beautiful weather for us. Doron played the famous piece by John Starnes,
"Old Jerusalem" as we drove up, and the anticipation of this singular event
was truly on everyone's mind. I do not know anything about the construction
in the foreground and only hope that it is a temporary pile of dirt! Nevertheless,
the panorama of Jerusalem is spectacular, regardless of the dirt! Three
photos were made with my Olympus Stylus camera and combined to make the
panorama. See the much better panorama scene of Jerusalem below which was
taken on the Mt. of Olives (Photo no. 54)
