1996 Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT) Convention
Oligonucleotide probes made from the 83 kDa polypeptide n-termianal aa sequence allowed the first ever identification
of a gene for cellulose synthesis. This was accomplished by Dr. Inder Saxena of my lab. Inder has been with me
more than 10 years and is still very active in the cellulose molecular biology field. A very exciting recent find
