Always managing to reach

New life and fresh, glowing
Encouragement for those who follow.

Enthusiasm for life, your
Dedication to people, your
Brilliant. welcoming love. We will
Ever be grateful and hope
That one day in our life
Those goals, though distant and
Elusive now, will finally be
Realized for us as well.

A Litany of Thanksgiving

It would have been enough
To have been born in America,
    in this century,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have known my parents and received
the heritage of values they imparted,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have received the education provided
    by NOJC and OU,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have been a science teacher
    through the exciting 60's,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have published two textbooks
    that influenced students,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have been president of NSTA
and a part of that Association,
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have celebrated our 51st
    wedding anniversary -
But there was more -

It would have been enough
To have walked with God by my side
    through this life -
But there is more - much more...

A Day to Enjoy!

A day to enjoy!
Happy birthday, dear Teacher
When, to you I spoke

Little did I know
That you were born on this day
On May twenty eighth

Take time to reflect
On your birthday my dear Friend
Take time to enjoy

The long years of love
Devoted to your dear Bill
Faithful constant love

Take the time to live
And remember your great past
For it is here now

That you have inspired
So mnay young and able
To do what is best

To love, honor, trust
To do their best in all things
Wisdom never fails

So on this fine day
May you remember things past
Wonderful Elaine!
