The Story
This is one of the Nation's premier restaurants. Yes, it is expensive but worth every penny! It is located at the head of Castle Creek near the ghost town of Ashcroft. If you will click HERE, you can visit the home page of the Pine Creek Cookhouse and learn much about its history and the history of Ashcroft. This place is even open in the winter! They will take you up to the restaurant (pictured above) on a horse drawn sleigh! For what I call one of the best and most scenic culinary delights in the Aspen area, I suggest that you try this place. During the three times we took friends to the Pine Creek Cookhouse this summer, we had ideal seats outdoors. You will see that I like to photograph food and some of the "food inventions" look as well as they taste! All photos are copyrighted. Contact me at rmbrown@mail.utexas.edu for permissions.
