The
Story
The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies is one of the premier centers
for teaching young children and adults about nature and the importance
of ecology and the preservation of our precious natural resources. It is
done in a very objective manner, and the lucky ones to be here are indeed,
fortunate. I have been an ardent supporter of ACES and encourage
anyone who believes in the future of our planet to contribute to this very
worthy cause. Just look at the photos. They tell everything! You can see
how young kids really will have the time of their lives and will never
forget this summer experience. As an adult, I am tremendously impressed
with the enthusiasm of the personnel and their dedication to helping young
people understand nature and ecology and preservation. This is a truly
valid and important undertaking and I commend Jim and Tom and everyone
at ACES for their hard work and dedication. Enjoy these photos and take
the tour. You will not be disappointed. You will be interested in the photomicrographs.
I simply placed my Olympus c-4040z camera on the ocular of the dissecting
and compound microscopes of ACES, and you can see the results of some interesting
samples such as beaver hair, flowers, etc. I am very proud of the eagle
photos taken with my Olympus c-4040z digital camera held next to a pair
of binoculars! Also, ACES has nice booths at the top of Aspen Mountain
and at Maroon Bells. I captured photos of personnel manning these
booths. They are very dedicated people. Keep it all going,
Jim! Above all, when you go to Aspen, make ACES your first itinerary
on your visit!
