The Story
When Adreas
Sievers of Bonn, Germany introduced us to the Cistercian monasteries
of Germany and Europe, we became curious upon learning about the presence
of such monasteries in the USA. One was near Snowmass, Colorado, only about
12 miles from Aspen, so our curiosity got the best of us and we visited
St.
Benedict's Monastery! What a joy to have the
privilege to visit this serene place. No noise, just silence and the feeling
of something very special. I hope these photos convey part of the wonderful
experience we had there. I hope you will visit this place on your next
