This was my first visit to Gamla Uppsala. This is the "old Uppsala" a few kilometers north of the present establishment. This is a very historical site. In addition to the beautiful church you will see below, there are burial mounds, some dating back to 500AD. This site was introduced to me in April, 2002 by Dr. Geoffrey Daniel of SLU. It was a very impressive visit. The sky was blue. Early spring in Sweden. Geoff was married in the church. Keiji Takabe accompanied us on this visit. I hope that you will enjoy these photos.
